Microsoft has revealed details about its efforts to infuse cloud, artificial intelligence (AI) and mixed reality across it products in a bid to help customers visualise and create the future of business.

The new cloud, AI and mixed reality push was revealed at the vendor’s annual Microsoft Ignite event in Orlando, Florida, on 25 September, where it welcomed over 25,000 of its business customers.

In addition, the tech giant shed some light on how quantum computers could help solve some of the planet’s biggest challenges.

Specifically, the new announcements spanned the vendor’s commercial businesses, including Office 365, Windows 10, Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft AI, with a focus on harnessing data, AI, hybrid and cloud technologies to evolve business process and innovate for the future.

“I’m optimistic and inspired by the ingenuity of customers, partners and developers everywhere that are pushing the frontiers of what’s possible with mixed reality and artificial intelligence infused across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure, to transform and have impact in the world,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said.
