Microsoft’s Windows Mixed Reality VR Will Release October 17th

On October 17th, Microsoft will launch its VR initiative – Windows Mixed Reality. It will aim to encompass both Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, and will be compatible with Windows 10 on the day of release.

The company will launch a VR headset which will be priced at $250, and made available to companies to start creating content. It differs from its competitors as it has lower-spec components, but does not require external sensors for its motion controls. It is said to be more optimised for lower-spec PCs.

Windows Mixed Reality will come with a mini-game called Halo:Recruit, to show off what is possible and what could come from Halo developers 343 in the future.
